IPoolTester is an all in one program to assist you in managing your swimming pool, hot tub, waterfall or any other body of water, which requires periodic testing, balancing and maintenance.  Using commercially available test strips in combination with the iPhone, iPoolTester can quickly report the current water conditions as well as calculate which chemicals are necessary to balance the water.  Testing your pool is made as simple as (1) dip the strip into the water (2) take a picture of the strip (3) read the results and dosing suggests from iPoolTester. 

iPoolTester can also be without a camera in an easy to use manual mode.  By moving a slider to match the color of each test strip pad the program calculates the results for you.  If you prefer you can also use the calculation screens by manually entering the values for say when you are testing your pool with drops rather than with test strips.

IPoolTester supports over 35 of the most popular test strip and sanitizer combinations.  The program supports many of the strips from the companies listed below and has the largest set of supported test strips of any of the iPhone apps.

In addition to automatically determining the results from the test strips, based on the type of pool you are testing, the sanitizer you use, the shell material and the chemicals you like to add, iPoolTester will calculate the chemical doses needed to add to bring the water in balance.  The program currently supports the following calculations:

* Total Alkalinity

* Total Bromine

* Free Chlorine

* Total Available Chlorine

* Calcium Hardness

* pH

* Chlorine Stabilizer (CYA)

* Sodium Chloride (Salt)

In addition to reading the results from the test strip and helping you determine the necessary steps to bring your pool water into an ideal balance, iPoolTester helps manage the periodic maintenance of your pool.  The program will save critical information for any number of pools including:

* The previous test results

* The desired balancing chemicals you like to use

* The last time the pool was tested, cleaned and filled.

Finally, iPoolTester will allow you to email the test results, including the strip image as an attachment, to some one.  By sending the test strip image, the receiver can load it into their copy of iPoolTester and examine the results.  Using iPoolTester in a multi-tech environment is seamless and can improve the quality of service provided to your pool maintenance customers.

For each pool you have defined the application can store as much history as you want including the image of the test strip if you wish.
